Conventional matte eye shadows are all dry eye shadows. In general, between 3% and 7% of oil is added. Anything more and the powder will not tint, oil stains will appear on the swab and the powder will fly during use. The powder is particularly moisturising and soft because this eyeshadow contains more than 25% oil. It has a creamy feel on application and has a long-lasting make-up effect. It uses the oil-into-powder process, which involves adding small amounts of oil to the powder multiple times and mixing slowly to ensure that the powder completely covers the oil. The pigment is then added for colouring and this process takes 1.5 to 2 hours.
